Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how CareerOS ("we", "us", "our"), at careeros.caraccessorylab.com, collects and uses personal data when you use the product.

Data we collect

We collect only what the product needs to work:

• Account data: your email address and authentication details, plus the professional profile information you choose to fill in.
• Your content: resume files you upload, the text extracted from them, the reports and resume versions produced, and the job applications you track.
• Usage data: basic records of how you use the product (for example, quota consumption and error logs) so we can operate and improve the service.
• Payment data: handled entirely by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card details go to them directly — we never see or store them.

How we use it

Your data is used to provide the service you asked for: running analyses, generating reports and drafts, enforcing your plan's quotas, keeping your account secure, and communicating about your account. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your resume content for advertising.

Who else processes your data

A small number of processors handle data on our behalf, each for one purpose:

• Supabase: authentication, the database, and private file storage.
• Google (Gemini): drafting improved resume wording — only for the text of a resume you asked to improve. The ATS analyzer itself runs on our own deployment and sends no resume to an AI provider.
• Our payment provider: checkout and billing, as the merchant of record.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell browsing data.

How long we keep it

We keep your data until you delete it, or until you delete your account. There is no automatic retention timer running on your content.

Deleting your account removes your profile, files, reports, resume versions, and tracked applications. Security log entries are unlinked from you rather than kept against your name, and a minimal record is retained showing that a deletion ran and when.

Our payment provider retains transaction records as financial law requires — that is outside our control and outside this policy.

Your rights

You can export everything we hold about you as a single file at any time from your account settings, and you can delete your account and its contents from the same place. Deletion asks you to sign in again and type a confirmation phrase, because it cannot be undone.

Security

Accounts are isolated by database row-level security, resume files live in a private bucket reachable only through short-lived signed links, and all traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we describe our actual controls rather than promising absolute safety.

Children

CareerOS is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be flagged here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
